Ddub847
Just wondering is it ok to run odd number of aero ports. Did the calcs and i think 5 4" ports would be ideal. Im runnin 2 15s. box will be around 7 cubes tuned to 32. Any input?
bkolfo4
It is perfectly fine. Current system: 1997 Blazer - (4) Customer Fi NEO subs with (8) American Bass Elite 2800.1s Previous systems: 2000 Suburban - (4) BTL 15's and (4) IA 40.1's = 157.7 dB at 37 Hz. 1992 Astro Van - (6) BTL 15's and (6) IA 40.1's = 159.7 dB at 43 Hz. john253a
5x 4" is a bit small for 2x 15" in 7net (depending on sub of course) you might get some port noise, have you looked at running 3x 6" aero's you'll also save on ports

Tim Lam
IMO i would at least run a single 6" aeroport, maybe if you can find one a 8 or 10". they look more impressive and if flared correctly, less port noise.
john253a
9 is right on the bare minimum, but as i said "depending on sub of course" idd still recommend 3x 6" psp aero as i can see your already lookn at psp as your calculated it at 17"long (there max length) 3x6" @17" long will be 36hz, but you can extend them if you have the space other wise use 6x4" at 17" (35hz) im just not a fan of aero's down that low in port area, i like 11-13, but all comes down to sub

bkolfo4
David Moore was doing ~152-154 (i think that is right, I remember 152.4 or 154.2) on a pair of 15" MT's and 6000 watts a few years ago with 4 4" aeros. . . When will everyone quit being so stuck to port area vs. box size. . .
