CJ18 Posted November 18, 2012 Author Report Posted November 18, 2012 Working on the alternators today. So what do I do with an 8 groove belt when my truck needs a 6 groove? Simple fix. Now that I know it fits and I have a little slack to play with, I can take the bracket off and mod it so I can drop the pulley directly to the left down to hopefully help with the belt wrap on the stock unit.

After hours of taking the bracket on and off and having to find different pulley placements to make this work, this is the best belt wrap that I can possibly get. its still not great, but it is the best I can do.

I am headed out at 530 in the morning to spend thanksgiving with my fiance and her family. I will also be headed out to Reno to spend a few days at DC to work and learn. Going to soak up as much knowledge as I can from Rusty and Rob. Gonna build a new recone for my Level 6 and learn how to build from scratch.
