That was the only way that it would work. i'm confused, why's the top bx more out than the bottom box? maybe it's not but the most recent picture makes it seem that way The top subs are going to be mounted normally and the bottom will be inverted. I did not have enough overall depth to allow be to do both without stepping the baffles.
