Jordan92790 Posted January 11, 2008 Report Share Posted January 11, 2008 Ok So I recently finished the installation of my new BL fully loaded 18" with a RF 1500-1bd with the help of some friends. Before I installed it my cd player (Older Kenwood) would play any CD. Well I was listening to it and my CD player shut off and wouldn't work with any CD at all. Finally it started working. Anyone know what could be the problem with this? My next issue is that my bass hits so hard it makes my CD skips. How do I fix this? My next question is I'm using a stock altenator and 1 battery. My lights will dim while bumping so I was just asking if I will need a new battery and possibly a new alt in the near future ? ( will I sub kill my alt I have now?) finkster Posted January 11, 2008 Report Share Posted January 11, 2008 (edited) What kinda car truck do u have? 1500 is the cut off for upgrading electrical....Do the Big Three upgrade and maybe a more powerful battery...A bigger alt would also help knowing its a rockford amp its putting out more than 1500.. 01xtreme Posted January 11, 2008 Report Share Posted January 11, 2008 there really isn't any way Im aware of to stop the CD from skipping short of buying a new CD player. As far as the batt and alt, I would suggest adding another battery and an HO alterator before too long. I had an old Kenwood that skipped terribly, then a pioneer that was a little better, but so far this Alpine is the best. Clif Posted January 12, 2008 Report Share Posted January 12, 2008 cd skipping i would get a new deck, i used to have a deck that would skip and then it would stop playing really made me angree. so i sold the deck to some 16 year old and bought a new one. also bat and alternator are your best guess, if your cheap at least get a extra bat in there. what size wire you running?
