So I went to take my front seat out earlier but I didn't realize they use torx heads.. Lame

So I had to borrow some inverted or female torx sockets.

Then put in some work tomorrow.

Thanks for the replies guys!

Yea the paint roller I got says it's for walls I believe. For the port I might pick up a can of gloss black to keep it smooth.

As for the port area, I wanted to keep it right at 12" of port per cube because this is more of a proven design. It helps keep port velocity high which is my goal. Trust me my first instinct was a port with 16-18" of port per cube, but after some research I am going to try this first. I can always make it bigger down the road.

Hoping to knock out the rest of the bracing today, and maybe begin painting smile.gif

why do you say that? i'm looking to tune low in my 2 12's setup and i've had a few people tell me to shoot for 12-14sqin of port when tuning lower than 36hz, what exactly are the benefits of keeping port velocity high?

For my application it is more for metering purposes. Also my understanding from other boxes I've built is that when you have a lot of port per cube it makes your sound more peaky and have less bandwidth.

I wouldn't worry about that too much though, even 14sq" per cube is closer to the smaller side.

Lookin really good man. Nice job on the wiring and the alts on these Tahoes really are nothing to replace. So nice to have the alt out in the open instead of under the engine. Really liking the district block. Must be some of toolmaker's work.
