idk dude, i had a t1000 (the version before the CP) and it never got hot at all, id imagine with proper gains and not wiring below 1ohm, i dont see why ud have any real problems with heat, but ive never had a 1500....just offering some input based on a relatively similar model ive owned.

I was wired @ 2 ohms, gain set with a dd-1. bass boost @ 0, etc.

NEVER used the bass remote.

Mine was in my trunk however, and it was 100% sealed.

New Setup;

H/U; Pioneer DEH-80prs.

4 Channel; JBL GTO1004.

Highs; Vifa NE25VTS-04.

Mids; Aura NS6-255-8A.

Alt; 160a.

Batts; Optima, KHC1800.

I just bought a T1500 this week. Hooked up to two RE 18s, it pounds HARD with clean, clear, low rumbling bass. The only bad part about it I can see is that it can't be strapped. I would say go for it, you won't be disappointed.....unless one day you may want MORE power. If that's the case, then spring for the 2500 and you can't go wrong.

2006 Cadillac Escalade

2/3 drop on 28" wheels

Two RE SX 18" subs

RF T2500-1bdCP amp, 3531watts on birthsheet

Custom carbon fiber sub box

EVERYTHING else is stock, for now

149.4 @ 37hz, Termlab, dash, open window on two AQ3 18s all stock electrical, wired to .25 ohm on a RF T2500

148.8 @ 36hz, Termlab, dash, open window on one AQ3 18 all stock electrical, wired to .5 ohm on a RF T2500

147.8 @ 38hz, Termlab, legal, sealed on two RE SX 18s

146.4 @ 36hz, Termlab, legal, sealed on one RE SX 18

T1500's are the shit!! I ran 2 of them on my sa 15's it was great. but you can always get away with feeding the sa's more power. if you have a nice budget id look into the bc3500 or the AQ2200 as well

Im happy with mine. Its only wired at 4 ohms for now. I cant complain. Its never protected. Yes, it gets warm... but nothing crazy. I expect that though.. it means that the heatsink is doing is job. Id be concerned if it was cold lol
