so i am working on my front sound stage and as i dont have everything i need i have started on the plans for it.

the doors will have 1 rockford punch pro tweet and 1 6" punch pro mid each and will eventualy be running off a t400.4. for now i only have the tweets and some focal access 6.5 that i got using a gift card i won from a spl comp.

the plan is to take the cubby off and make it to where the speakers dont even stick out more then the stock cubby does. that peice of cardboard is only a template i made and i wont have the actual mdf peices cut out untill sunday. i just hope it doesnt rain when i go to cut the peices out.

untill i get the mids i will be simply using the focal i got with the tweets and the focals all running off the h/u, the next step is buying the 6" mids and a new h/u. gonna get the new pioneer 80prs and then the t400.4. i choose the 400.4 becuase it will still allow me to get more mids or even tweets if needed so i have room for upgrading.

singer alt, tons of wiring, smd vm-1, 80prs, back seat delete, still in the works, aiming for a 145-147 with the ability to play 25hz up to 50hz.

i did, i just simply got lucky enough that the 6.5 focal i got for the meantime will fit just the same. there is about a .02" difference in mounting diameter so it no big deal.

  • 2 weeks later...

ok guys, got the cutouts done and mounted to the doors no glassing done yet but hopefully will get started on that soon.

i do gotta say though these tweets are amazing sound off of the h/u. h/u is rated for 50x4 its a pioneer and i have both a set of focal 6.5 and the punch tweeter hooked up to the front channel with nothing on the back channel so im gonna assume that im only getting about 7 watts per tweet and they already sound great.

so no glassing has been done and im hoping to get the fleece layed down today but here you go some picks.

there is a little more room there then it looks, those focals will be replaced with rockford punch 6" mids.

free hand cut the wood in the dark with this, nothing but a dim light coming through the window of the house so it doesnt look pretty but it will get the job done.
