lextruck
I have to DC lvl 5 12s on their way and I'm thinking about trying to run them on 2 fosgate 2500.1s. Iv been reading on here about compensating for less power by building the box bigger. Would it work with these 2 amps and how big would the box have to be? Iv got a decent amount of trunk space. Thanks for any info
cmegorm250
Well if your electrical is to par. Those foagate 2500 would be putting close to DC lvl 5 rated power. I'm no expert but I'd do 2.0cf per sub.
lextruck
Ok thanks. I really want to do a DC amp but I already have these ones so I figured if they could work I would atleast use them for now and maybe upgrade later. Bump4life
you will be getting 3k plus out of each amp hopefully if you wire each to 1 ohm. stick close to manufacturere ratings. if you are careful, you can go bigger, but watch it on low frequencies if you go bigger. subs can still unload on less than rated power if box iss too big Buyer/Seller Feedback Thread: http://www.stevemead...5015-bump4life/ MB C220 153 Trunk Car Build Log: http://www.stevemead...d/#entry1840136 MB C280 Ipad Dash SQ Build Log: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/194484-bump4lifes-new-benz-tony-c-relay-kit-pictures-ce-electric-audison-front-stage-installed/ My SPL Log: http://www.stevemead...__fromsearch__1 BMW M340 xDrive Stock, for now. lextruck
Good to know. I guess maybe ill start closer to the 1.5^3 and see how it sounds. Really just wasn't sure if it was worth running them on these amps or not.
Bump4life
honestly, go closer 2 cubes per. 1.5 is just small. I have 0 experience with DC Audio, but by my rules of thumb, the bigger the better. yes there is such thing as too big. i run DD subs and bigger is almost always better. but i know dc audio operates with less space. wait for other DC audio experienced members to chime in on this. im just getting you thinking of going bigger. especially for that beast of a sub. it would laugh at 1.5 i feel like. just like ti will laugh at your RF t2500s Buyer/Seller Feedback Thread: http://www.stevemead...5015-bump4life/ MB C220 153 Trunk Car Build Log: http://www.stevemead...d/#entry1840136 MB C280 Ipad Dash SQ Build Log: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/194484-bump4lifes-new-benz-tony-c-relay-kit-pictures-ce-electric-audison-front-stage-installed/ My SPL Log: http://www.stevemead...__fromsearch__1 BMW M340 xDrive Stock, for now. Kyblack76
First time I've ever saw someone say they are "just gonna run these RF 2500's for now, because it is just what I have " Hope you do have good electrical..... RAM_Designs
2ft^3 per sub should work fine. I highly doubt you're going to push the subs to their mechanical limits in that box with that power. cmegorm250
As long as you give it clean power and have you sub filter set right and have the right electrical you could go bigger.
