TylerParrish Posted September 13, 2012 Report Posted September 13, 2012 Your truck has a lot to do with it...a lot of people put the same system they had in a new car and some got louder some wasnt. I was gonna say its your box but you said it got low and that before. Also you had a hatchback witch get louder then trunks, I never heard a system in a truck so I have no idea how they sound. What kind of box and what's it tuned it? Please someone correct me if I'm wrong Sorry I forgot to mention the box I have in now is a bit smaller. The port is like half the size of the port on the old box they were in. And the box is also a bit smaller. Would building a new box that properly fit them and with the right port honestly make that big of a difference. My port right now is 4in wide and about 16in long. I didnt wanna build a new box for my truck and then it still change the sound like what I want it to sound like. Just not really sure on what to do yes, to get the most out of those subs, you're going to need a box built right and built for those subs. What's your max dimensions, what's the subs, how much power are you giving them, what's your music preference. The box is a big part in how they sound.
