Should i place the box so the sub and port are firing toward the ceiling or place it firing towards the front seats. I,m installing it in a 2001 toyota tundra access cab. The box is for a 12 " sundown sa powered by a jl 500/1jx. Any info would help...

rdkjrss Posted September 21, 2012 Author Report Posted September 21, 2012 Ok good to hear the amp is enough power for now. The enclosure is 1.75 cube gross so I'm not sure if it's going to inhibit the sa12,s potential . If its not loud enough i may try a 2 cube box.
severancej Posted September 21, 2012 Report Posted September 21, 2012 I've flipped my box all over and I found subs forward and port vertical to passenger side with the box pushed all the way to driver side sounds louder and almost like better extension down to subsonic. I have side firing enclosure 4 cubes net @35hz, 2 sundown E12's on RF T500 in 98 dodge ext cab rear seat removed 98' dodge ram 140A alt Big 3 XS D2700 JVC kd-r310 Rockford T500-1BDCP 2 Sundown E12 Ported 4cubes 35hz Rockford P400-4 2 Infinity reference 3way 6x9 2 Polk DB 5 1/4 2x layer dynamat all doors
