Luckily we don't have to here. Only thing required is permission from your chief. We keep a letter from him just in case. But LEO never bothers us unless someone is being a complete tard... POTATO!

Some captains and lt's have lights but that's understandable, and of course we got the "try hards" who have them as well for no reason. Reason being is that there are so many wrecks and deaths responding to scenes or the station POV and it's just too dangerous. We've been discussing upgrading all of our engine's lights to the new LED lights. Nice setup you got there, you should see one of my asst. chiefs excurison. It's crazy lmao. New build coming soon..

Our chief pretty much tells us "damned if you do, damned if you don't", but as long as nobody fucks around with them (I.E. using them to get through traffic when there's no call, or driving like a complete maniac) he permits them. Sadly, we all have more lights than he does...lol. POTATO!
Slobalt7 Posted September 23, 2012 Report Posted September 23, 2012 Around here you can have the red and whites with "city" permission(it is allowed in Hope Mills and Linden but not Fayetteville or Spring Lake) but most cops don't mind as long as you aren't blowing lights and being a dumbass. I have several friends who work for the Hope Mills FD and my uncle is chief over the city of Fayetteville. Yeah, it's slower than your bowel movements.
