You don't have to take the case off. I just pulled the knob and drilled a hole in my dash, i too will get a pic. just a sec.

I actually just bought a knob from Cody with the case already off :D

The case is just so fat it's hard to fit it anywhere. Hunter it's not too hard to do the cig lighter trick. Just gotta get creative.

under construction

I hate People with crappy primered cars rolling on hubcaps that are louder then me.

Do not do anything with the ash tray, when you pull the ash tray out it becomes your only cup holder. They are not very convenient cars, lol. Anyway, we pretty much put the knob in the same place, although it is slightly different shaped in that spot in my friend's car. I guess it all depends on how often you use it.

Shit.. I NEVER thought of that. I actually have 2 cupholders factory.. theyre just under the middle storage thingy. Its inconvenient. I just have a question- is shifting hard with a cup in place of the ashtray?

Your friend probably had either active aero or a 12v socket where I only have cruise control.

Cig lighter was easy in my truck. You just need to find a way to secure the body of the LC1 and wrap electrical tape around the LC1 knob. I cut the cig lighter socket and just kept the retaining portion of it to keep in place in the cubby space. I had a cig light plug ( i used a volvo one i had laying around in my tool box ) and push it in till its very tight around knob. I rigged my case to secure to the side of the cubby whole with washers and a zip tie so the LC1 would be straight and not crooked.
