shepherd92683
I have an AQ 2200 that has been acting up. There is a low hum that comes from the woofers while either on pause of can be heard at low volume levels. When I accelerate, it goes away, then comes back when I stop/slow down. I have checked all grounds and even sent the amp to the guy who does all of AQ/DD amp work and they could find nothing. Also a few different times I have tapped on the face of the amp at low volumes with my finger and it sent a kind of popping/feedback noise through the woofers. I'm not real sure what to look for at this point maybe other than the RCA's. Any and all help is welcome! 2017 Honda Accord Touring Build coming soon
WastedTalent
To me, sounds like bad RCA's or bad wiring whether it's just not wired right or the wiring is faulty. but then you say you tapped the amp and sent noise through the subs... so kind've sounds like the amp... see if you can hook up a friend's amp, even if for a few seconds to test. shepherd92683
The tapping thing is not consistent. When AQ had the amp the could not duplicate the issue so it should be some sort of issue in the car. 2017 Honda Accord Touring Build coming soon
WastedTalent
Then I'd go with the first suggestion. RCA's or faulty wiring. Sheena = pedobear
ChevyBoy95
probably RCAs or grounding issue. probably something along the lines of alternator hum/whine through the amp. shepherd92683
I'll try another set of rca's. I'm just hoping theres no way it could be an alt issue... Nothings been the same since I had a Pioneer hu send a 20v signal to my amps and fried the board on my Boston 2125 and smoked 2 Boston Pro 60's. 2017 Honda Accord Touring Build coming soon
shepherd92683
The sub amp issue started getting worse recently. I had tried a different set of rca's from my new Kenwood 719 a couple months ago and there were still problems. 2017 Honda Accord Touring Build coming soon

Jaren Hew
what headunit? i had this problem back in the day with my headunit, ended up have a hi resistance short in my ground wire for the deck, it would go away with more amperage from the alternator but come back at idle. But i dont know about the tapping thing.
