a good start. need help

Alright i have 1 jl w0 15 in a slot port box in a 98 tacoma extended cab. it hits but i think i have a bad box or too small of one. it hits low and sounds great but i have to turn the sub control on my radio down to stop the rattling i have. it only does it on the mid range bass but on the low range it hits hard. any suggestions or help? I wanna do 6 15s in my lil truck or atleast 4. i need help please

you have rattles when you turn the volume up? yea thats usually what happens with bass

No i mean the bass rattles but u can hear a distinct noise it sounds horrible. but it only sounds good on low notes. uve heard the song put on? Well it sounds horrible.

i have put the sub level on my radio on 2 and it goes up to 8. I hate the noise it sounds like crap. ive done every thing i know. rewired everything. new amp. new head unit. only thing i havent tried.is a new box. could it be my box?

What amp(s) and headunit(s) are you running? Is it in a custom or prefab box? Howd you tune the amps? We can't really help you without some details here bud.

If you have a prefab box then that's your problem bc prefab boxes are poorly made
