bsneon98
I missed having that sun visor in the pt cruiser. Much better Also among all of my interior lights being converted to LED. Also got some single beam LED headlights. No more ugly yellow halogen! Before: After Side by Side: Both LED Had to throw my fog lights on too. Back to that center console that ive been building for 2 years on and off. lolNow that i have a reason to work on it and somewere to install it when its done. Steel rod to keep it from flexing and cracking on me. I lined all this with scrap carpet so it wouldnt scrape my shifter on install. SMC Hardset filler to the rescue. Such a pain to sand but this shit works great! So much sanding lol So much filler primer lol 1 Temperature meter, 2 Volt meters After a couple coats of SEM Texture Coating, to simulate the vinyl texture. Looks so nice already. Phone couldnt focus that well, ya get the idea lol After SEVERAL coats of some SEM color coat flexible paint FINALLY DONE!! bsneon98
Ok So the city has gotten on us big time with all the shit in our yard, Cant blame them but its what ever. So there was alot of time spent helping clean up (it was bad). This was the hardest of everything to break down This is what is in the building, plus the blue tarp in the second to last pic Had to get the body back on the frame using a tractor, come along, air jacks, 2x4s and cinder blocks... All on uneven rocky rutted ground 3/4 tires held air after 21 years in storage Out the side gate she goes! Backyard is clean again! Came across this Rebuilt factory high output alt for my car. 162 Amps at 2k. about 100 at idle. not bad, had to do something because my last one got torched getting the bolt unseized when I rebuilt the engine Quote Build Log: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/152954-1998-plymouth-neon-updates/
bsneon98
Took a vacation day from work and went to town with all the little things that have bugged me, Like my underhood wires, they never were ran like i wanted them to be and didnt look too pretty. Now onto my door panels...... Nice to have the patio back, While i waited for all my priming to dry I figured all the casings on the windows were metal and white, this ugly brown didnt match anything anymore: Little suprise for my dad, along with changing the 20 year old spot light to some LED floods Scored 5 yards of Marine grade vinyl off ebay for like $28. Decided to go that route since I was not going to be happy with a painted finish like my center console. Other side: After a long night of wiring: Next morning, can see all the imperfections but its my very first time wrapping vinyl all in one piece which was difficult on these panels,Im not an upholsterer, just someone who like to make things looks as nice as they sound / function. Ill be happy with them for now. Quote Build Log: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/152954-1998-plymouth-neon-updates/

bsneon98
Not a bad job on the doors. Wish I had the balls to just jump in head first on my doors Thanks man! Just do what you can when you can. It took me over a year of doing alittle bit at a time on these. When it came to vinyl i just took my time and did one area at a time Quote Build Log: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/152954-1998-plymouth-neon-updates/
bcbrassard
Dude your build is like my twin build. Same upgrades in both. Lancer system has been down for months and just want to finish the Malibu to move on to mine. Fiberglass looks good. Nice to see your improvement in the last 3 yrs. Been working on mine that long too, closer to 4 yrs. Keep up the good work man.
bcbrassard
You get an hour go thru my build log. you will laugh how closely they mirror one another. And at the end of the day my lancer is still an ugly car. My Degaf car i like to call it. Which is probable why i like the Malibu so much. Its funny how close they do mirror each other. My neon is still a chicks car according to 90% of the people, I dont care. You and I seem to both make the best out of every situation. Its a blank canvas, its up to every installer to make the vehicle their own and to make it do what you want to do lol. 1 Quote Build Log: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/152954-1998-plymouth-neon-updates/
