alright finally got more done on the box! slowly but surely it's coming along!

so i forgot to take a picture of the bondo after i've applied it but i put bondo on all the bends and stuff and then spent a good long time sanding it all down smooth.(thank you power sanders!) so here's the pics of the after effects

and well there was still a bit of a dip coming into the port so i decidied to make it as smooth as possible. also the dip there would be visible by everyone since it's so close to the port exit. so another thick layer of bondo that will hopefully be the last one!

WP_20140620_004_zpsf3d29ca2.jpg

so thats that. i also bought some roll on paint and primer. going gloss forest green for the inside and then im thinking flat black for the outside but no sure :P

I think you have a bit of truck stuck in your mud bro

oh also finally fixed my passenger door! first time fiberglassing anything other then curfed wood :P so i was a little nervous but it came out good

here's the problem. as you can see the screws broke the plastic around the holes and pulled through.

WP_20140620_005_zpsf2129965.jpg

WP_20140620_006_zpscb6260ba.jpg

so i removed that vertical flange and then scuffed everything smooth

WP_20140620_007_zps1666b1ad.jpg

and then 4 layers of fiberglass later...

WP_20140620_008_zps58128faa.jpg

WP_20140620_009_zpsacc1533e.jpg

and then once it was dried. (not much difference haha)

WP_20140620_010_zps1be258dd.jpg

so finally after like 6 months my door has gone from this

WP_20140620_011_zpsf1239ce6.jpg

back to this!

WP_20140620_012_zps2a853dba.jpg

Bryan i get back end of july ish. really am shooting to have this done by the time i get home. but right now its gonna look like a choice between doing the circle cuts with a jig saw or a router :P

Looks good, tuned in for the end result

thanks man! hopefully will have some good videos of my door going ham :P
sorry progress has been slow on this but i really do appreciate you guys still looking at the log. give me motivation to skip hw for a night and go work on the box haha
speaking of, last night was one of those nights! so got a bit done :) but first i forgot to post this video. i redid my bass knob so that i could have the best of both worlds with the RCA knob and the AQ knob that goes in the amp. so here's the mediocre video i made :P lol
alright now on to the box!
got the one spot coming into the port all smoothed out so you can't tell where the board meets up with the curfed one.
WP_20140626_008_zps7e1ba6ab.jpg
and then did some last minute sanding in some areas and then it was ready for primer!
WP_20140626_009_zpsa2dc82c2.jpg
soo i first tried brushing it on but my brushes suck and was causing streaks and bumps in the primer so then i went and grabbed a roller and rolled on the rest. and here's the end result :P
