I got pulled over once in 3 months. And then I got pulled over twice in 3 weeks so I took the tint off my windshield and now no worries. Basically just be smart about it, you're breaking a law and if you get pulled over then pay your ticket. Ive been pulled over once for tint. and its not light tint. When I go to the place they ask me what percent I want and I say how dark do you have? he just shakes his head and goes to work. if you dont act like a jack ass and get pulled over for other things you're going to be fine. for reference heres my daily and my truck now if you excuse me i have to run to the store and since i ran my mouth im going to get pulled. lol What percent you running? 5% ? n8ball2013 Posted October 5, 2012 Report Share Posted October 5, 2012 yes its 5 percent i believe. the truck is extremely dark in that pic because the back has factory 15 or 20 or osmething and then the 5 over it. its even worse now that the entire back side is blacked out. I tried to get a pic of it as it sits now but the sun is shining straight in the windshield. C-Fizzy Posted October 5, 2012 Report Share Posted October 5, 2012 I have 5% on all my windows, with my 2 rear quarter windows and my hatch layered in black paint so you can't see through AT ALL. and I have a good 12" visor of 5% on my windshield. Never gotten a ticket. Never even pulled over for tint. under construction I hate People with crappy primered cars rolling on hubcaps that are louder then me. u hate c-fizzy? For the rear window, if you don't have side mirrors, then you have to have 25% on that window, but if you do have mirrors, any darkness can be used. http://www.txdps.state.tx.us/rsd/vi/consumerinfo/windowTint.htm I have no idea the darkness on my truck (the windows were already tinted when I got it, and were already purple, but I doubt were higher than 25%). Only the visor, front doors, and rear hatch were tinted.
