This is from their site and the test they have done on this sub. Sub was fine until they put 2 xta5000's on it. Unless I'm deciphering their wording wrong LoL

1. test: amplifier and 1.3 ohms actual output power of 2000 watts rms declared. Track (lil jon bm_click) repeated 2 times about 12 minutes without interruption. Result subwoofer completely cold.

2. test: amplier xta5000D to 1.3 ohms actual output power declared 5000 watts rms, output voltage measured by the meter ranged from 95 volt to 118 volt track (lil jon bm_click) repeated 2 times 12 minutes + track under 30 approximately 2 minutes. Gone are the tests we removed the sub, which was hot on the surrounding coil and warm in the magnet. The temperature was approximately 40 degrees to the magnetic group and 65 degrees for the coil.

3. test: aimed at destroying the subwoofer and see the seal of the speaker and the coil. Same song but 2 xta5000D link in a 0.64 ohm measured by the meter. Output voltage ranged from 168 to 186 volts. The excursion subwoofer was approximately 12 cm -6 +6 cm. The subwoofer is already warm from previous tests he played for about 2 minutes. The coil support has not rectum thermal expansion, it is wound on itself allowing the spool to come unstuck from the support. The coil is still intact and shows no signs of burning, the subwoofer can definitely keep improving this power the coil support. (We will work in the coming months)

Oh Google translator, "Coil support has not rectum" hahaha

So with the 2nd test on 5000w and coil reached 147 degrees F. This is below the apparent failure point of over 220 deg F.

Breaking point test took it up to about 12,000w on music and the woofer move 4.72 inches. The failure occured at the triple joint where the coil is glued onto the spiders and cone. They then state that they will improve this joint.

That's a good engineering mind set. Take a product up to point of failure, see what part breaks and strengthen it. Then repeat test and see what breaks next and strengthen it.

This is the biggest reason I like these woofers over Cadence and Lanzar, because there are SPL guys testing and improving this woofer where as the other guys are merely slapping their logo on a dust cap.

I just about picked up 4 15s. Price isn't bad at all considering the sub. Shipping Is kind of a deal breaker though.

If you would have put a dc dustcap on it and called it lv your mom, they would all be in love
