Remember when they use to play the National Anthem every night at the end of the TV broadcast at 12:00. I dont know if they do this anymore anywhere.

Man, I know I was spoiled. My brother and I had a toy "box" the size of a freakin' refrigerator! It was awesome!!!

Just think Steve and the crew that helps him will be compared to Steve Jobs. In the audio world for what he and the the team have done. Like all the the ones who gave us our cool audio stuff now. Steve need to make toys now lol.

No doubt! Double Stacked magnet assemblies, install tools, signal processors.... Who would of thought even 4 years ago that for around $200 (or is it even less?) you could get a tool that shows clipping and distortion? AND you don't have to be a mad scientist with a huge O-scope to do it. Plug it in, turn up a knob, bam- you are done.

Very true sir. That and to think we get to see history in the making along with what we've got to see already. Only difference is we all can appreciate what we are seeing a little better. Just like some of that equipment in your van. Most of us got to see it brand new the day it came out. Wait that might be a bad thing lol. Or worse the fact of running a 50 watt system was a wow factor then. Now it takes 3-30 thousand watts to wow most people.

For you older guys

Though, I'm still a kid, my dad, who's 50 now, used to tell me how things used to be back in his day.

- He told me he had a Radioshack pong console, and his brother used to have an Oydyssy

- The Television only had 3 channels to pick from

- Alot of cars didn't have power steering

- When he called, he had to speak to an operator, and used rotary phones

- My grandma used to have the biggest in the neighborhood, which was 27 inches

- Audio wise, he told me he had a reel to reel tape player, and of course the usual analog players, like a turntable, tape player, and whatnot.

- The banking system was more human based, and he remember the atm, and credit card coming out

- He used to work with computers the size of rooms, and he learned analog computing (making programs by connecting wires)

- His first calculator was a slide rule(he still has it), and his first advanced calculator was an HP with red LEDS, and he had to plug it into the wall.

- He used to tell me that when he went to the arcade, he loved playing pong, and he was a big fan of pac man, and tetris

- He told me Commdore 64 was ridiculously expensive

Moving on to the 90's

- Having a phone was so expensive, he had to rent it, and the company he worked for who rent one for him.

- Me and my brother had to ask him permission to use the computer, and nobody could use it when he wasn't home, not even my mom

- He used to make programs (he's a software engineer), and store them on diskettes when he used to run Windows NT

- His 1st computer was $1500 for something basic so he could work from home.
