Guest
whats so bad about working on a fosgate? cause the MEHSA technology they utilize in all of their amplifiers, is extremely difficult to work with. it uses a bunch of layering techniques in order to get great heat dissipation. if you fuck it up (which is pretty easy to do), you're probably screwed. aerickson
I did that on accident and only blew the fuses on the amp.
Guest
if you want to fix a rockford amp, send it to rockford. it costs a lot, but you get your amp back working.
kbass302
well my photobucket wont upload pics, im guessing its the 2 compacitors right by where you put in the remote, ground and power wires. everything else looks good, no burn marks, only thing that set them apart is they were SLIGHTLY domed on top. and they were close to the problem. haha headunit: pioneer 1400DVDsub stage: FI Q 15 D2sub amp: VVME inno-d 1500 voice amp: VVME 4 channel 4080.2nd battery: Soundquest SQB2000 2nd batterywiring:run of stinger ofc 4 gauge to 2nd battery sky high and knu 0 gauge to bass ampsub box: custom ported box, 3.73^3 tuned to 32hz rca's: stinger 6000 for basskicker 4 channel for voice front stage:JBL gto608crear stage:renegade 6.2c

audiofanaticz
If you dont want to have RF repair the amp, most amp repair companies wont touch them. You have to heat up the mosfet pcbs that are soldered to the heatsink with a torch. If you go too hot you damage the pcb and mosfets. than reverse the steps to put it back together. James Taylor in Alabama has taken apart his t4000 amps and repaired them with success. Maybe try hitting him up to see if he can repair the amp for you on facebook or youtube JAT4011 and he maybe willing to do it for a lesser price than RF
