loganuf
hey. i was wondering if you guys could help me answer a question i had. Im about to buy a new amp for my setup and my friend had a 3000pzi crunch that hes gonna sell me here are the details on the amp: Product Features : 750 Watts x 1 @ 4 Ohm 1500 X 1 @ 2 Ohm 3000 x 1 @ 1 Ohm Dynamic Music Powers Illuminated, Large New Design Crunch Logo Power Supply: PWM Output Power Circuit Configuration: MOSFET Frequency Response: 15Hz-300Hz Damping Factor: >292 S/N Ratio:93dB THD & amp; N: 0.10% Variable Input Level Control: 0.2V-9V Diagnostic Indicator: Power (Blue), Protect (Red) Variable Low Pass (Mono 24dB): 35Hz-250Hz Variable Subsonic Filter: 15Hz-35Hz Bass Boost at 45Hz: 0-10dB Line Output: Full Range Unbalanced Input (RCA Jack) Phone Jack For Remote Control Dash-Mountable Bass Remote Control Included Power Terminal: 4 gauge Speaker Terminal: 10 gauge Fuse Size: 50 Amp x 2 Im gonna hook up 2 12 inch L7's that are rated for 750 rms each. Would i be overkilling the subs with power if i wired them at one ohm in series (there both dual 4)? or should i just wore them at a 2 ohm load? thanks for your help with any responses Quote 2000 Eddie Bauer Expedition: Alpine CDA 9883 2x 18" DC lvl 4 D2 10.7 cu ft box 33hz knu 1/0 wire amp: Kicker ZX2500.1 Kinetik
Stephen
Well with 2 D4 subs you can either wire to 1 or 4 ohm Quote you can cook bacon shirtless if you're not a pussy...lol not hatin, but am i wrong here it looks as if the amp is not grounded its hooked directly to the battery. it that the way it should be. FieroGrande
i think you will smoke them at one ohm unless you set them with a dmm. Edited January 18, 2008 by FieroGrande
loganuf
Well with 2 D4 subs you can either wire to 1 or 4 ohm could i wire them seperatley at 2ohms and bring them to the amp seperatley instead of in series together? cichlidfort
i think you will smoke them at one ohm unless you set them with a dmm. Have you benched one of these amps? This amp pushes out 1800 at the most. I would say 1700. Thats like 850-900 per sub. That won't smoke the L7 12s. Slinky
x2^^^^ that amp WILL NOT smoke those subs unless you clip it. i assure you that those L 7's will handle that amp just fine Quote DD M4 Rockford Fosgate P500-4 SoundQubed HDC415 w carbon fiber cap 2 Rockford Fosagate T1675-S XS Power D3400 Under Hood XS Power D5100 in rear Michael Singer 200A Alt Build Log: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/153901-2012-veloster-update-842013-wall-build-4-15s/

cichlidfort
crunch not that good Yeah, when compared to Rockford Fosgate, Jl, or kicker they are not that good but for the money I would say they are the best amp you can get at the cheapest price. If you look at my signiture you see that I have one too. It's not as bad as you think. They actually kind of push my L7s lol. That's why I need to get a better amp. Polecat
a good simple first question.....how do you plan to install these, sealed or ported? Quote Behind every great man....is an underwear tag!
zaxfire69
I am not familiar with the PZI series of Crunch amps, but I do know that they list the output wattage in dynamic ratings on this amp. Went to the site. The Ground Pounder series is a different story. I read a review on the GP3000 and it actually does its rated power plus a little. I would say try it with your gain set right and see how they react. I bet they can handle it. Kicker has made good speakers in the past and I am sure they still do.
