suckerfreebass Posted October 21, 2012 Report Posted October 21, 2012 i did the big 3 upgrade but my car failed to start so i re connected stock grounds along with the upgrade an it works fine i understand some cars need stock grounds but why is that ?

suckerfreebass Posted October 21, 2012 Author Report Posted October 21, 2012 na i think you miss read it i have stock an big 3 installed now i just left all original wires an added the big 3 im just asking why it was necessary to do that why didnt just upgrading the wires work i seen a great gain i went from around 12.2 with car running to 13.3 an i still haven't upgraded battery or alt yet

I'm gonna hate
suckerfreebass Posted October 21, 2012 Author Report Posted October 21, 2012 i had it in factory locations thats why im confused i just unhooked grounds an ran new grounds in same spots i was but its all good i was just curious what was happening i got it all workin yesterday just didnt know why it didnt work with just replacing grounds an adding 0 guage to alt thanks though
Ryan929 Posted October 21, 2012 Report Posted October 21, 2012 The positive from your battery to your alt hase a fuse in it and at that fuse there is another wire that breaks off to power all your accesories i am assuming it powers your starter also and maybe you skipped over that part and that is why it didnt start?
