wellington
seller also has a kinetik hc600 he would give me for $50 or trade that for a watch I have. Not the biggest battery, but would it help at all? he claims to have given the sub 1800w rms clean power. I plan to run the SAZ1500d v1 in .5 ohm mode - is this safe? what if I turn the gain down and made sure the amp always got 14volts? I could run the amp in 2 ohm mode, but I would only give the sub 800-1000w rms When I test the sub out, should I try .5 or just stick with 2 ohm? 2010 HHR LT - DNX 6160 - sony xec-700 - sony xm-4040 for door mids - XM-6020 for tweets in a-pillar - saz1500d v1 - VVME RD-12 1.75 f^3 32hz guru and president of the "cheap asses trying to beat up the block with bargain bin woofers" club
OrionStang
I'd pay 150 for it. Even on 2 ohm power, it will sound good. .5 if you have a couple extra batteries. SMD Super Seller My Feedback Thread
Chris Hammer
The batteries not worth it but 150$ for the 10 is worth it. Can u see the coil or check it with a dmm. If they're good buy it. I would just go .5 IF YOU have the elctrical to back it and make sure the gains set right and take it easy on her. wellington
.5 if you have a couple extra batteries. Couple extra? how many are we talking? 2 of these? or 2 $300 batteries? What if I just lowered the gain and make sure it never went below 14v or so? The batteries not worth it but 150$ for the 10 is worth it. Can u see the coil or check it with a dmm. If they're good buy it. I would just go .5 IF YOU have the elctrical to back it and make sure the gains set right and take it easy on her. I asked him to check the coils. I assume anywhere near 1 each should mean it's good? I got the watch free. OrionStang
Whats the point of running .5 if you are just going to "lower the gain". Just run it at 2 ohms until you are more educated. Lots of good reading here. SMD Super Seller My Feedback Thread

Just run it at 2 ohms until you are more educated. Lots of good reading here. Would it not get enough amperes in .5 ohm mode? What would I need to make the amp stable in .5 ohm mode? If it truly can take 1800w rms, I would want to run it in .5 ohm and upgrade my electrical 2010 HHR LT - DNX 6160 - sony xec-700 - sony xm-4040 for door mids - XM-6020 for tweets in a-pillar - saz1500d v1 - VVME RD-12 1.75 f^3 32hz guru and president of the "cheap asses trying to beat up the block with bargain bin woofers" club
REVOofRustler
Do you know what options the sub has on it? Ive got a Q12 with the cooling option, extra spider, and internal leads. Im running it at .7 ohms nominal (dual 1.4 coils) on my Crescendo BC2000d without issues. The Crescendo is rated for 2000 watts at 1 ohm, but I havent clamped it yet to see what it's actually running at with impedance rise. 2002 Dodge Dakota 4.7 club cab - Sold 2004 Audi S4 Avant - Fi and Crescendo - Stock Bose System - http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/147725-2002-dodge-dakota-end-of-the-road/?hl=%202002%20%20dakota 136.4 Sealed @ 29hz 137.0 Drivers window open @ 26hz
