single 18 or 12s

i currently have a dc lvl 4 m1 d2 with xl upgrades wich i was gonna put in a 4th order box but id like to see if i had 2 12s running same power as a single 18 wich would preform better i assume the 12s cause cone area but im curious as to what you may think

also i got the 18 for really cheap thats why i got it wasnt really looking for a 18 at the time just fell in my lap

im either gonna just build this 4th order box an slap the 18 in with about 1500 rms or get some 12s running the same amount of power not interested in waisting money doing both just tryin to see if someone here may have insight on it or may have done it already

i got the 18 for a great deal so im not against selling it or maybe traddin it just curious what outcome may be

Exactly my point. There's no way of knowing. Even if somebody had the sam car and equipment, and tried the same setups, results could be different than if you tried both. Thats why these type of "this or that" threads aren't allowed, Reported.

i understand it will not be the exact same effect as someone else may have but if i have 3 people sayin the 18 worked better id go with the 18 now if it was split half liked 12s an other half liked the 18s performence then id just figure it out myself an why isnt this allowed im confused ? can you direct me to where it says its not allowed im sure you know where it would be please? sorry for any hassle
