Eminent Tech TRW 17

  • The self-proclaimed most powerful subwoofer in the world, this extremely unique subwoofer does not have a paper cone but rather five blades that spin like a fan. The speed of the fan alters the air flow, which turns the entire room into a speakerbox. This subwoofer is capable of playing audio at 1 hertz (Hz), the lowest possible frequency. For comparison, jet engines and nuclear engines hit this frequency. The lowest that most conventional 12-inch subs can hit is 20 Hz. The unit is priced at $12,900 as of Oct 2010
    wow the future is awesome

WTF is a nuclear engine?

I think this is a neat proof of concept thing, but it is completely pointless IMHO

Sorry but nothing new.... Phoenix Gold had the Cyclone years ago for audio applications. Wicked subsonic monster.

It's straight up Home Theater use only. I have seen video of it and it looks interesting. You would just 'feel' a one hertz tone, and that is what you want in a HT setup. (I believe)

formerly known as Blue86f150

its a 4th order just because its tuned in the 40z doesnt mean it wont reach down and jiggle your balls at sub 30 hz frequencies.

Regardless if they were dipped platinum and were stuffed in Beyonce's twat.....way too fucking exspensive

super old news, and complete marketing fud.

Awesome unit for home theater use though.

MickyMcD - "Capable of making some serious trouser flapping volumes at where's-my-testicles frequencies, the Servo-Drives used to be fairly jaw dropping..."

Any time you have have a power wire next to your frame put some rubber hosing (or cut up an innertube) around it. The wire is bound to wiggle (due to driving or flex) and the casing will eventually wear through.
