kingkon Posted October 31, 2012 Report Posted October 31, 2012 I have a Kicker 08ZX25001 that the RCA cable tip broke inside. I tried removing the tip and have not had any luck. Does anyone know where I can buy a new board to replace the current one?

kingkon Posted November 1, 2012 Author Report Posted November 1, 2012 The problem I am having is that I tried taking it out by getting a toothpick with super glue on the tip and sticking it to the broken tip. the toothpick would stick to the tip good but would unstick when I would pull on it. Now it is worse because I think the super glue connected the broken tip to the part itself. Do you guys think if I drill out the broken tip without damaging the contact at the end if the part it will still work? I sent an email to Kicker support last night to see if I could buy a new board, and haven't gotten a response yet. Here are the pictures:
kingkon Posted November 1, 2012 Author Report Posted November 1, 2012 Got an answer back from Kicker: You would need to send the amplifier in to us here at Kicker. It usually cost $250 for repairs on a 08ZX2500.1. I asked if they sell just the parts and they said no..

X 3 I have done this on one of my Phoenix Gold amp when one of my kids broke the rca. I used a small drill bit not going to fast and not using to much pressure, then I pulled it out a small angle pick screw driver.

I'd put the bit really deep in the chuck so that only a tiny bit is sticking out and there's not much play or wiggle in the bit. Take your time drilling
