Today i ordered my Skar VVX 12's, and my SK 2500.1 I also talked to coleman and got all my wire and deadener straightened out. BOTH are in transit So im left with a box. Id like to semi wall my 12's facing forward from the trunk... sealed off. And just fold the back seats forward to listen to my subs. My max dims are 33" wide 14" tall 20" deep Id like the box to be ported around lower 30's for tuning. Im just hoping i can fit a ported box.... If my calculations are correct..... Using 3/4 MDF... that means for the 2 outside walls of the box, and the inside wall of the port, ill have 2 1/4 inch of not usable space for sub mounting. And the subs are 12.5" around. So thats 25" that i need to mount the subs, and 2 1/4 inches i need for wood width, equaling 27 1/4 inches. Plus some space for between each sub, so 28 1/4 inches of used up space. Meaning i have like 4 inches for a port. Does anyone think thats big enough for a port? Can someone help me with the box calculator since im a imac user and not able to use it? Joe X Posted November 2, 2012 Report Posted November 2, 2012 It could be done if you go to 22" deep and a single 6" aero, that would be low port area but it has been successfully used on tight settings before.

I'm wanting to use anything that works. I didn't realize that 2 12's in a ported box with only 32.9999999 inches wide 14 inches tall and 20 inches deep would be an issue. Aero ports, slot ports, leaky baffles to help get more port area LOL. I just don't wanna have to go sealed.
