another coat of gloss white?

hey guys quick question about painting my box.

so already i've done 4-5 coats of primer and sanded with 100 grit up to 220 grit.

now i've just put on 4-5 goats of gloss white paint on last night and i just wet sanded with 600 grit.

and looking at itm it's not as glossy/reflective as i thought it'd be at this stage. i've never done this before so im not exactly sure what it should look like. so im wondering if it not being really shiny or glossy after doing the 4-5 coats of color on there is normal or not. or if all that glossy really reflective look comes from when i put on the clear coat on there.

basically wondering if i should move on to clear coat right now or go back and put several more coats of white gloss color on there.

i know it's a little hard to tell with no pics but it's hard to take pics like this with my phone

After you sand you need one more coat ... that low of grit takes the gloss out

Takes some skill to paint without orange peel. Go slower than fast making sure it's an even coat and then sand after 1200 grit wet then clear coat it a few times same technique then polish it

The clear coat should also give you the gloss

do i need to wait for it to dry completely to sand again with a higher grit before i start putting clear on? or can i put a couple coats of white gloss and then go into clear?

i would add one more coat and then sand with 1000 grit..it will look dull again but make sure it is smooth..add 2-3 coats of clear and wetsand with 2000 grit. once your done apply a rubbing compound and that glossy shine will come right out

you color coat shouldn't need to be sanded man. Just needs coverage, then the clear coat.

i've been trying to take my time on this. im mostly worried about it being really glossy/reflective. and so i should put another couple layers of gloss on and wet sand with 1500 (i don't have 1200) and then put clear on? also if it says dries in an hour and handles in 24. does that mean i can sand in an hour or should i wait till tomorrow?
