bkolfo4
If your batteries are all in parallel in your vehicle, then you do not need anything else. If you are charging them outside of the vehicle, I would get 2 aluminum or copper bars and strap them together in parallel, then connect the charger. I had 15 batteries on mine at one time, and still use it to keep my 2 batteries charged in my Nova. kickass audio
The buss bars help with power transfer for high loads but really arent needed for as low of power output that the charger will go at. I have all my batteries connected with pieces of 1/0 with ring terminals soldered on each end since at the time i didnt know if id get more d3100's or not and to this day its still setup that way and i have 4 d3100's and a s3400 all connected to the same system. All i did to make it more permanent was go to valu or any other small parts store and purchased ring terminals. Then i cut the clamps that the charger comes with and saved them since i can always reinstall them at a later time if i needed to. Then i crimped on the ring terminals to the wires and mounted the battery charger to the side of my enclosure with rubber shims to minimize any vibration on the charger. Now whenever i want to top off the batteries i just have to get an extension cord, plug in the supplied power cable and flip the power switch on the charger. It usually takes me a hour or 2 for it to fully charge depending how many days i let the truck sit or if i was playing music with it off and it will not hurt to let it charge and just let it go. It will charge when needed and go into float mode when its charged enough. 2004 GMC Envoy1 XS power S3400 batt under the hood and 4 XS Power D3100's battery installed in the rear by the amps0 gauge power wire from front to backAlpine iva-w205 touchscreen dvd/cd/mp3/ipod/am/fm/gps headunitSundown Audio SAX-200.4 amp for my mids and highs8 gauge speaker wire from amp to woofer270 amp Mechman AltRockford Fosgate T1652-s component speakersRockford Fosgate 3Sixty.2 sound processorRca's from Rockford Fosgate and Monster Cable14 gauge speaker wire for the mids and highs1 18" Ascendant Audio SMD Dual 1 ohm with custom Black & Blue carbon fiber and hand signed dustcapBox: 5.66 cubic feet net volume box tuned to 30.13Hz with 1.5" wide wooden dowels and 1.5" thick baffle1 DC Audio 5.0k amp wired to .5 ohms nominal with an imp rise of 1.35 ohms for the single AA SMD 18"Future Vision 8000k 50w bi-xenon projector HID's with 4300k 35w fog lightsLink to my build: Buildupdates/progress
