Damn Steve great build! When you get the other 840 pro put in RAID 0, and yes you can only have 2 gtx 690s since they are dual gpu cards. You should water cool shit shit. Too much good hardware to be air cooled. For the to case(tower) get the NZXT switch 810.

Will be doing a build when the new Intel CPUs and AMD/Nvidia gpus come out.

What will you be using the rig for editing, gaming, overclocking? or just everything and anything.

PS: i7 3970x just came out =P

already got an awesome case.....and i probably won't watercool the graphics cards. The ones with the built in waterblocks were out of stock and the waterblocks that you can buy (for this card) are hard to find. I don't have time to hunt all that down, he wants it done NOW. I got a big enough water system to support the GPU's if i do it later. There is only 2 of them so i will be able to spread them apart enough to dissapate plenty of heat. They will be fine.

as stated a few times, this is strictly for gaming. I probably don't even need to overclock it at all. Its plenty fast on its own.

if its MY personal computer, overclocking is usually done - but on a friend or customers, i would leave it alone and keep it reliable.

yea i saw that after i posted. Well since you wont be over clocking there is no reason(unless for aesthetics) to use "actual liquid cooling". If you are still looking for a cpu cooler and like liquid, look at the corsair h100i, it is new to the market and is a very good. For being a sealed water cooling unit.

the H100 is nice but very generic compared to what i am putting in here. Thanks man!

Jeebus man! I built a computer for a guy when I was in Iraq a few years back and his "unlimited" budget was like $1,100.00 and he was ballin.lol All built between missions and for his dad. Wish I knew someone with the wallet to fund a build like this. Flat out bad ass my man

Nice rig, but windows 8? yuck. lol

what should i get, windows XP?

new rig, new everything, new operating system. Plus i am hearing tons of great stuff about 8.

i am a 7 guy but i can't go bass-ackwards on a PC build, ever.

I have to agree with windows 8 comment. Unless you plan on running a touch screen on this rig Win8 is pretty pointless. Metro UI was built for touch screens Awesome build never the less.
