afrakes Posted December 1, 2012 Author Report Posted December 1, 2012 I want to buy a 1.2 k so I have at least a little bit of room to upgrade in the future, and I'm not going to buy anything like hifonics or something like that. Amp wise, I'm looking sundown, dc, dd, or crescendo. Whichever I can find for the right amount of power at the best possible price. @kranny: in case you were wondering, I'm going to be doing a lot of electrical upgrades before this build so I have plenty to support the power. Upgrade to a ho alt, 2 batterys, big 3, runs of 1/0, etc. So with that being said, y do u think I wouldn't be seeing all tha power? zydrix Posted December 1, 2012 Report Posted December 1, 2012 i personally think u should get the DC level 3 u were looking at get it in the Dual 1 version an wire it to a DC 2k or a crescendo BC2000 an wire it at 2ohms, your amp will push out about 1100 watts the the sub, an if u want to upgrade to a 2nd level 3 down the road u can pick up another Dual 1 sub, an wire them to a final 1ohm an can push about 1k to each. that is your best bet. My build 98 s10 2.2 3 american bass HD 15s with psi soft parts. (on there way here) atomic at-3000.1 (soon) 146.2 outlaw @39hz., bad alt an bad batt when termed (old 2 12" build) alpine 6.5s in doors infinty 4x6s in dash. clarion cz201 HU. mechman 240a H/O alt stuff i still need. SHCA 2/0 wire SHCA 1/0 to 2/0 adapters Atomic AT-3000.1 Lots of sound deadner new mids an highs, still debating on what to do. A few Deka g31 batts.

Yeah I did think about that but because of size limitations in my vehicle I could either go 1 15 or 2 12s and the 2 12s would be pushing it when talking about box size, I have about 3.5 cubes to work with max. But I could still do that plan and then down the road when I get a bigger and better sub i could buy a d2 and wire down to 1 ohm to receive all the power....
