Wiseracing2
I'm soon gonna be ordering an fi bl 12 to run off a t1000.1, and i already have a box for my sub now with the dimensions of 18h X 20w X 13d, but i cant seem to get the port right, i have a precision 4'' aero port at 9'' long, but thats 39hz which is a little high for my liking, is there anyway to tune down to 34ish hz with those dimensions? And also, since the aero port is in the bottom corner, im not against cutting that circle into a square for a square port! It seems like every calculator gives different numbers so i cant figure it out! also, how much importance does port volume have? how much is needed for a fi bl? thanks! -1994 Dodge Dakota -Lifted -Murdered out -Pro comp beadlock rims and General Grabber At2 tires -Rockford T1D212 -Rockford 750.1 at 910w RMS -Focal Solid 4 at 75x4 -Rockford T1 6.5 up front -Rockford Punch 5x7 in rear -Sony BT38U headunit with bluetooth, etc -Rockford 4 Gauge -Singer 250 amp alt! -Race accessory HIDS _______________________________________________ -Soon to come- D3400 Kicker 2500.1 Fi BL 12[/font]
bkolfo4
How does the box sit in the vehicle? Can you put a longer Aero in the side? john253a
7-8 is low but prefabs have lower in some cases and many are happy with them (not saying prefab is good through) have you tried putting some port in some out of box, or adding a 90deg to the port inside box
CleanSierra
Solution: Run 2 3" ports to bump port area up and adjust the length for desired tuning. You're welcome, I'll be here all week Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.
Skullz
With an aeroport you don't need as much port area since the efficiency is better than all the other ports, generally you only need 7" to 9" of port area for aeroports to work well with. 01 Ford focus ZX3 Pioneer AVH-X491BHS PPI PC 4800.2 Morel Maximo 6.5" x2
