Guest [email protected] Posted December 4, 2012 Report Posted December 4, 2012 i bought new Hifonics Brutus BRZ2400.1D and its still in box yesterday i found used JL Audio 13W7-D1.5 at my friend shop he gave me pretty good price but its dual 1.5 ohm so if i hooked it it with my amp it will be either 3 ohm or 0.75 ohm if i wire it at 0.75 ohm. will my amp burn or it can handle it? best regards
Nikitaaa Posted December 4, 2012 Report Posted December 4, 2012 Firstly, nobody can just tell you yes or no for certain. Every situation is different. Secondly, in my opinion, I do indeed think the amp will sustain due to music being highly dynamic. 2007 M/T Honda Civic Coupe EX (4) Sundown Audio X-8's (2) Ampere Audio 3800.1's (3) Stinger SPV-44 Batteries (1) Mechman 240 3:1 Ratio 4th order sealed from the trunkTEAM NWSPLBest termlab scores to date in Honda trunk:151.7db legal (official) IASCA trunk 3 classBest termlab scores to date in my walled Subie:152.9db legal (unofficial) IASCA advanced 2 class155db outlaw

Toofast4u Posted December 6, 2012 Report Posted December 6, 2012 Why don't you just run it at 3 ohms? .75 is way too risky. You risk blowing both the amp and your sub. You'd also be grossly over powering it as well.
Guest [email protected] Posted December 6, 2012 Report Posted December 6, 2012 thanks guys i think i will run 3ohm for a while when i have some $$$$ i will upgrade the amp
Team Maxxsonics John Posted December 6, 2012 Report Posted December 6, 2012 That's a little low but you should be fine assuming you get some decent box rise to help out. Don't beat it to death at that impedance though....
