Building A Wall. Need Input

Well I'm going to be recieving 2 m2 XL 18s in a trade soon. I plan to build a wall next spring when it starts to warm up but have so many questions that I had to ask for some early help. The car I'm working with is a 2 door pontiac grand am. My first and only idea so far was to just build a shell and see how many cubic feet I got out of it and design port and baffle from there. But would this be dumb in case I built too large of a box? I've done research and seen guys building walls outside of the car and throwing them in with some trim pieces and being very successful. If this is the better route I'd rather do that as I've only built one box before this. Apologies for the long post I just can't seem to get this out of my head and figured I'd get some solid answers so I can stop thinking about it haha.

if you make it outside:

1. you can cut it all out and build it inside the car (so no lifting a 250lb box)

2. you would have a definitive volume figure since it would be a box

3. you have to make sure the pieces/box can fit through the door when building

if you make it inside:

1. you can get more volume

2. back of the box could be a ton of pieces therefore a rough volume figure

3. you dont have to worry about fitting through the door

you dont need to do all that look at my build log i have basically the same car ( oldsmobile alero)

you wont be able to build it outside and have it slide in. your gonna need it to be a single piece by piece.

this was also my first wall build so i wanted to keep all the angles right angles to keep it simple as possible.

i eneded up getting about 13.5 after displacement and have done a best of 154.2 @ 42 hz on 3800 watts

copied some pics over for you. you could go all angled pieces and avoid having to creep into the trunk like i did but like i said i wanted to keep it simple being my first wall build.

i skipped some pics and other stuff just look throw my build log and it should answer your questions if you have any questions dont hesitate to ask

Appreciate all the pics. I had actually just read your build log for the first time lastnight. Do you think that extension into your trunk was absolutely necessary? I'd like to keep my entire trunk for space for batteries and amps of course. And my apologies for not remembering but were you able to seal the wall completely off with trim pieces? This is something that concerns me cause I want it to look as clean as possible when done

edit: Just saw the last pic with the top baffle being the trim piece, I like that alot and looks very clean that way
