cmw5e Posted December 8, 2012 Report Posted December 8, 2012 im wanting to do some 6.5 components in my f150. i dont really have the time to work on doing the 6.5 conversion on the fronts. theres a shop around that has hertz and audion and i forget what else. i was wondering if anyone has any experience with the lower line hertz components? i dont have too much money to spend but still want to get a good front stage. if anyone has experience with the lower line hertz please chime in, thanks
Skullz Posted December 8, 2012 Report Posted December 8, 2012 I'm almost certain that ray did a motorcycle with a pair of the esk 6x9's in the side bags that sounded great, so i'm pretty confident that they're every bit as good as the name implies. 01 Ford focus ZX3 Pioneer AVH-X491BHS PPI PC 4800.2 Morel Maximo 6.5" x2
AI James Posted December 8, 2012 Report Posted December 8, 2012 you can get energy or deici 5x7 that will drop into that truck and sound alot better then stock or add an amp and make the energy series come alive
cmw5e Posted December 8, 2012 Author Report Posted December 8, 2012 i know their higher end stuff is amazing. i just havent had any experience with hearing any of the lower line. im pretty sure the shop has a sound board with all hertz speakers there for display. i just thought id get some input before i get ready to shell out the money for them
cmw5e Posted December 8, 2012 Author Report Posted December 8, 2012 i have alpine type r 5x7's without an amp right now. i have been wanting to do the 6.5 component set in the front for a while to finally have a real front stage
cmw5e Posted December 8, 2012 Author Report Posted December 8, 2012 or to save some money should i just try to sound deaden the doors real well and add an amp to type r's? they are older models but from what ive looked up they say 100 rms for the set. so maybe an amp could make them sound better

AI James Posted December 8, 2012 Report Posted December 8, 2012 Go with the energys. Great 100ish dollar component set. energy's are not a 100ish dollar set of components.
