How do my coils look?

I recently bought 2 mayhem 18s running off of a 4500d with 2 xs 3400s and an optima yellow and a 200a alt.

I don't drop below 12.9 v at full tilt but if I recall my coils were kinda dark when I got them, but want some input if u think they're burned?? They don't and have not ever gotten stinky, maybe the caps get warm to the touch but that's after 30 minutes of hard play.

I had posted I smelled burning plastic before when I got them initially but I found a melted ground wire for my blower motor bc I had my heater core replaced and the wire was getting hot.

Anyways here it is

They're literally both identical looking so I have 1 pic.

Also, gain on the amp is at half way, little less actually, on a pioneer d4300.

Good to know

I just saw a few pics of a few other people's subs coils looking like new pennies and I just took a peek at mine and made the wtf face.

I mean I'm not worried about them blowing up or anything along those lines but I just can't remember how they looke when I got em :)

Coils are made in all shapes and sizes as well as colors.

I've seen them new penny shiny and VERY dark grey (they came pre coated)

That piece of coil looks fine- lets hope the whole thing looks that good.
