Are banpasses worth the work and hassle???

are band passes able to move more air than a simple ported?

Ive never ran one.... I was gonna rebuild and do 8 15s but I just might go for one... tear out my 4 18s and do 2 in a 6th order and have 2 more on standby as i hear band passes are hard on soft parts...But i don't care i want more air movement! (im currently walled at the c-pillar wonder if thats a problem)

(Ive asked some of my team members but they seem to be against band passes)

every bandpass Ive seen on youtube look brutal

noisy crickets 4th order (my favorite!)

stacys 6th order

j staubs 4th order

Yuyang Jin's 6th order

but then i see stuff like this and wonder are band passes worth the trouble...(Ive been watching this audio company for 6 months now the speakers are too pricey for me though...I cant see how they fit those in that clio either and have room for batt and amp)

when built right you MAY have better results....but it certainly is no easy feat to build it RIGHT...especially if it's your first one it may take a couple different experimental boxes to get it right. I built one in my car and while it did give me a 1db increase I am going back to ported simply because of the fact that its too big and heavy....I think that unless your going based on numbers bandpasses can turn into nightmares easily...just my opinion tho

Bandpasses sound better than simple ported enclosures.

lol so 3 1/2 weeks later when this kid builds a 7:1 8th order and it blows apart his subs you can be the first one he complains too

huh???

the SP audio isn't too bad price wise if you email them and talk to em. shipping is a pain to figure out though.

i personally love bandpasses, then again i've never really had my own flat wall. i've heard both that were very impressive, just need to figure out how much air space and surface area you have and what would work best.

If you would have put a dc dustcap on it and called it lv your mom, they would all be in love
