john253a Posted December 21, 2012 Report Posted December 21, 2012 I did try that but the OD of the 2 sub makes it a very tight fit with a 4" port and because the height is lower the port need to be wider If you can post the measurement of the v and excact OD of the sub you have I'll see what fits
Smurfboy Posted December 21, 2012 Report Posted December 21, 2012 As someone pointed out, just drop the 15" and keep two 12s. I used to own two 12"L7 and they do sound nice and hit hard. I miss them.

john253a Posted December 21, 2012 Report Posted December 21, 2012 it doesnt work like that the wider you go the longer it need to be, and the less net youll have if you add an L2 to the port 11" long youll get down to 35hz, but to get it to 34hz some major changes need to made, witch is no problem have you thought about firing the subs sideways or to the rear, its not optimum but another option
whotry Posted December 21, 2012 Author Report Posted December 21, 2012 Hey John so if I add a l to my port that is 11 inches long then I will achieve 35hz?
john253a Posted December 21, 2012 Report Posted December 21, 2012 yes it make it an L port (or T port some may call it)
ThreehundredC Posted December 21, 2012 Report Posted December 21, 2012 i am running the kicker zx750.1 i had with my 08 l712. swapped it for the 15 2011 model (rms750). i feel it can take some more
Miguels Posted December 21, 2012 Report Posted December 21, 2012 I recently bought 2 kicker L7s came on here and asked for help to design a box, a good person helped me on here i built the box but it doesn't have the power I need so I said what the heck might as well buy a 15 L7. The car it's going inside is a Lexus GS300 My trunk is a bit weird but I'm sure I can build a box to fit. If there's anyone that can help me do some calculations I'm at work and I don't have access to a computer atm. My trunk has a small rectangle in the far back then comes out bigger. The Max dem. for the small rectangle is. H-16.25 W-30.25 D- 12.25 After the small rectangle the Max dem. I can go is H-19.5 W-52.5 D-14. That's all inner dem. I've already subtracted .75 from all the measurements. Now I'm a little confused on my options for my ports if anyone can help me out I would like my box tuned anywhere from 28-32 hertz. I will be putting the two 12s on the outside and the 15 in the middle. If anyone can help me out on a sketch I would greatly appreciate it and I will be happy to post pictures while I'm constructing the box. -whotry was it 412 CVX who designed your box? you might want to move the port my logshttp://www.stevemead...-my-new-set-up/my blow through loghttp://www.stevemead...future-updates/ 96 ss http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/164094-96-impala-ss-build/
