Alrighty we will just have to see what happens aha. This is my incredibly rough box design. No real measurements yet just what i want the box to look like and it's porting. Top mounted woofer with port coming out towards the back. I think this will give me the tuning im looking for.

BOX_zpsb49be842.png

the port needs to stay the same width, not go from 4" to 3" to 2"

Used to have a loud truck

That's how we build boxes with ports that gradually get bigger. It makes for a good system. My friend Cameron has an l7 15" in a 4Runner and he probally does close to 147DB and My friend Cody has a box for 2 L7 10's in a single cab 85' Silverado and he hits 142. Here is a video of the single cab check out his channel he has had some sick systems all designed and built by Cameron. Also going to buy the woofer on Onlinecarstereo.com EDIT: and both systems both have child's play watts to them. Loud sound with low power.

Because it literally is the same thing as sound deadener you would buy anywhere. I have seen the real stuff and there was no difference at all except the price and a logo on it -__-... what i payed to do my car was probably 1/10 the cost

may sound dumb but it has made a world of difference. Don't knock it til you try it.

Had some issue's with ordering the 10 gauge wiring. AKA Paypal was being dumb so just cancelled it and got my money back. Ordered 25' of 10 gauge for the subs for a good price off of eBay. Made sure to use a different seller and it looks like this wire is of much better quality. So once my money gets back in my account (they said by the fourth) I should be able to buy my sub and i have everything bought for now. Future goals will be to upgrade the alternator which i will go with a Dc Power https://www.dcpowerinc.com/fit/2002~Chevrolet~Blazer~4.3L-V6/8237-185-oem.html and then maybe do an XS power battery in the back or just upgrade the Red top Optima in front to something with a little more kick to make sure i have a good power flow. Cosmetic wise for the vehicle i want to get the windows a much darker tint and some black wheels that are a tad bigger than stock. I'm not sure if i want to put some nice looking off road type ones or turn it into a cruiser with some 22's or something along those lines i would say. I was thinking about debadging it and getting a custom made sticker where the blazer emblem is on each side. Gonna do the grill soon and get rid of that chrome and do a black Vhevy emblem up front. The possibilities with this thing is endless.

Please do that HCCA justice and use a decent amp! It will take 3500+ of clean power, and that amp will prob clamp 1k of std infested clipping. Lol to each his own but power acoustik sucks dick, Had the smaller version of that amp for a garage bump with an sa8 and smoked within a week. Look into cresendo if your on a budget.

This may not be the best amp but my friend Cameron has the same one and it is still doing work after months. And a 3500 watt cresendo is $600 not really in my budget for an amp at the moment. I will probally upgrade the amp at some point but that will be when or if i redo the system at some point and upgrade everything.

And if i did upgade the amp i would either do a DC Audio 3.5k or one of these bad boys to match my acoustic amp.

The thing about hcca's is that they are not as sensitive as others on same amount of power, so you have to tickle them a bit more to get them to move. Have you ever heard of box rise? The box is very important and if you or your friends don't know how to use a box building program you definatly need to pay for someone that knows what they are doing. You can't just guess this is how I want box and expect it to be tuned to whatever you think it is. Feel free to continue to cut corners what do we know... this is only a community filled with knowledge if you would take the time to read, read, and read some more your setup could be so much more.

Good luck.

EDIT even if wired to 1ohm at amp after box rise the amp wont be putting out 1ohm rating it will be much less.

Its your build just get used to constuctive critiicism :drink40:
