slobaltL7 Posted January 3, 2013 Report Share Posted January 3, 2013 kind of a dumb question but i was wondering if i were to get two h.o alts would i need an external voltage regulator or a step down module for the inside electronics? I just dont want to over charge the extra batteries or fry the electronics in the car. Now the only other thing you need to think about, is how to get the second alt wired to your eletrical system. I dont mean that either by its power wire to your battery. I mean the harness that connects to it from your car components telling it what to do, that's what you need to figure out. From what I was told yes, That is the same exact way I asked when i was looking into this, and they told me yes. Then connected to your front battery where the vehicles harness is connected to.
