FosgateLife Posted May 20, 2013 Author Report Share Posted May 20, 2013 After coming to the realization that the T2's were just HARSH, i decided to make a move and switch out my front doors for my rear doors (AQ) So the day began..... Had to remove all door panels (first time ever since installing the AQ's) Had to remove the bass blocks in the front doors and move them to the rear Had to cut down factory speaker holes to make the oversized T2 fit. Hook it all up, then tune it. All i can say is im a pure IDIOT for not doing this sooner. There is no harshness anywhere in the frequency range at all. They are clear as day and loud as HELL. Ear piercing! But in a good way! So i figured either im gonna buy some NEndo PWX's or some more AQ's later in the year because gosh dangit i just love how they sound! And there a hell of alot cheaper than T3's Funny thing is, i put those T2's on power around 4 months ago, and well, they're definitely broke in. I have had the AQ's in for over a year and they are still stiff. LETS GET LOUD BOYZZZZZ Comparison. AQ Spider and leads, Before i took the old solder off AQ's T2 Spider and leads As a quote from steve himself "Loud Ain't Always Pretty" And also pretty isn't always loud Rear doors I also took out the little 2.5" mid that came factory because i felt it was also distorting. Helped a little, stock wire is pretty damn big so i wasnt expecting much, but it did help to a noticeable point. My goal is to do a 140 with the same sub, different box, more power, and deadener! So what im gonna do is either T1 tweets all around, or do custom A-pillars with FT1 tweets! Depends... But im definately doing PWX's in the front doors! And moving my AQ's to the rear. Def a new bix, bigger amp, and a different batt!
