Grounding amplifier

Is it better to ground to the chassis or to the negative terminal post on my second batt and is there a certain reason why its better at one or the other?

I would say grounding to the battery would be better. There's a video out there comparing the two. I would personally ground to the battery because I know for a fact that it's a good ground and I wouldn't have to worry about the ground that I chose on the car was good or not.

where does your second bat ground too? grounding threw it would be best i think to eliminate multiple ground points.

the way i have my second battery is grounded to chassis. one run positive 0g from front batt to back batt and then second battery grounded to chassis. i cant remember what vid it was. but when they did it both ways there wasnt much of a diff. so you will save money grounding to chassis. and i believe ths vid was for systems under 2000watts

Ground the back battery to the front then the amp to the back battery

I had them on the same point on the chassis.

And if I decide to run more power, would I want to add a run of 0 gauge from front to rear for the ground as well as positive?

I think Snafu did a test and they actually got less voltage drop by just grounding the rear battery to the frame, so it would be better to just have two positive runs. When you start running more power (I forget the actual number) it does become beneficial to have ground runs from the front to the back.
