knubs Posted January 17, 2013 Report Share Posted January 17, 2013 Hello everyone, i am about to upgrade my mids and highs and i would like some opinions before i buy. i have an 02 mitsubishi lancer with four 6 1/2" speakers. right now i have some really cheap kenwood 3 way speakers and they suck. so now i am upgrading to components and i am getting a better 4 channel amp. i've looked around a bit and i am thinking about putting a pair of rockford fosgate t165-s's ( http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAudio/p_33549_Rockford_Fosgate_T1675-S.aspx ) in the doors up front and a pair of alpine sps-610C's ( http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_34373_Alpine-SPS-610C.html ) in the back. what do you guys think? my speaker/tweeter budget is only $200. i really want high quality sound, but i also want them to be loud too so that the bass doesn't cover them up too much. my sub will be a DC XL 15" on 2400watts. also for my amp i am thinking about getting the rockford fosgate R400-4D http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_34761_Rockford-Fosgate-R400-4D.html so let me know what you guys think about these items. i am open to all suggestions in the same price range. i hate realizing i could have spent my money better Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

You should have Saved some more money for a really good set upfront, you don't need no rear speakers. work on the install : solid baffle for them, good sound deadening to get the most out of them.
