2 or 4 ohm dvc sub ???

I'm sure i'm not the first to ask but if i'm buying 4 obsidian audio 15's on Friday and would like to know what ohm voice coils would be best. I'm thinking of running these on 2 Hifonics BRZ 1700.1D's. Any input would be greatly appreciated as this is going to be my first "large" set up and i don't want to blow stuff up.

To run two-and-two at 1ohm at each amp, you want the dual 4ohm woofers.

Well I might not have as much experience as alot of the members on here but imo it kind of depends on what you're going for and what your amps are capable of. In your case I would get the 4ohm DVC and wire them to a 1 ohm load since you're running 2 amps that are only capable of going as low as a 1 ohm load safely.

I thought with dvc 4ohm coils you can only go down to two ohms ?

no you can wire 2 of them down to a 1 ohm load

with one d4 you can wire to 2 ohms or 8 ohms with 2 d4's you can wire to 1 ohm or 4 ohms
