Carbon
I do just this with some regular rosin-core cut up and dropped in a 1/0 lug. Works a treat. Would silver solder work for this method? Can't say, I'm not sure what that's for. I don't solder anything so I keep a spool of Radio-Shack solder for when I need to and it serves me well enough. I believe it has the best conductivity. But basically still solder

Casket
I just crimp those connectors. Stick the wire in, pump the handle a couple times, heat shrink. Done I was looking at one of these too. any opinion? http://www.amazon.co...d=ATVPDKIKX0DER I have one, looks like the same exact model. They work quite well. Most cables i just solder though. If its in a place i don't want to risk lighting anything on fire, ill use the crimper. I usually lay down a few scrap pieces of MDF and hammer away inside the jeep Edit: I like that stripping tool they use. Anyone know what its called? https://www.google.com/search?hl=en&tbo=d&rlz=1C1AVSX_enUS466US494&output=search&sclient=psy-ab&q=cable+slitting+tool&oq=cable+slitting+tool&gs_l=hp.3..0.11531.15458.1.15590.19.17.0.2.2.0.125.1636.12j5.17.0.les%3B..0.0...1c.1.N81TFvzwSS0&pbx=1&biw=1680&bih=935&cad=cbv&sei=cgH-UOaXKYi-9QSrvIGQCQ http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_nkw=cable+slitter&_sacat=0&_odkw=easy+strip+cable+slitter&_ipg=200&_osacat=0&_from=R40 Kenwood KIV-701Crescendo BC2000DDC Audio lvl3 w/ lvl4 upgrade, 18''6ft^3 @ 27hzMBquart ONX 4.125(2) PWX 6.5 (2) PWX 8(2) FT1300amp Singer with VCM @14.5Optima YT & D1200My Build Log every company has their niche market. hifonics has successfully captured the average ignorant teenage boy.
