mutiple amps

If your amps are not factory strappable (master/slave), absolutely use a strapping module if you are planning to use 2 amps on one subwoofer.

I can not tell you how many calls we receive from customers destroying their products by not strapping there amps correctly and many have claimed to have all the pre-amp settings perfectly matched.

Yes you can. All you need is a dd-1 and cc-1 for gain matching. There are youtube videos on how to do it.

HE IS NOT ASKING ABOUT STRAPPING AMPS! Strapped amps work together, and have a pos going from one amp, and the neg from another. If you put one amp to one VC, and the other amp to the other VC, that will work. You MUST, and I mean you MUST!!! Make sure they are gain matched and show the exact same Voltage when set or you will see problems.

@ Carbon about the test equipment, it's not hard at all. Only tool you need is a DMM.

I'll admit, half way through sanding that fiberglass in the rain and cold while I was all itchy I was definitely starting to question why i was doing this haha

No Need to yell...caps lock screaming does not help.

Using two amps on one sub is not just about gain matching as shown in the video.

You have the operating frequency to deal with as well.

Yes, an SMD CC-1 will work just fine and it's a great peice...especially if you are doing set and forget for burping. (assuming you have one and a test tone CD).

I have one here of my own...love it.

A Maxx-link has a built in test tone as well as a comprehensive pre-amp that allows you to ensure both coils are receiving the same frequency but also allows you to adjust the pre-amp controls up and down at any time in only a few seconds.

Perhaps you simply want to re-adjust your subsonic, low pass or bass EQ on the fly, you can do so with out having to use a meter or measuring equipment. You simply adjust the pre-amp on the maxx-Link just like you would with the amp pre-amp and both the module and bass remote have clipping indicators built in.

You all act like dual voice coils really means there are 2 voice coils on the subs and if both don't see the exact same thing you'll have trouble.. It's there to help spread the power throughout the coil more efficiently.

EDIT: To the OP, yes you can do that.
