bassfreake Posted January 23, 2013 Report Posted January 23, 2013 is there a benefit to having say 4 15s at 500w each or having 2 15s at 1000w each or having 1 15 at 2000w as far as sound, quality, spl, etc. ? Thanks I was pretty excited about the alt myself. kind of like a school girl, in a dress, on a swing. lol It's warming up enough that the donut-punching cyclist douchenozzles are getting their two wheeled fagmobiles out. Emmet Posted January 23, 2013 Report Posted January 23, 2013 Variables for days. But I like cone area. Give decent handshakes people. I was gifted with an innate ability to distribute wholesale ass beatings in a timely and orderly fashion.
bassfreake Posted January 23, 2013 Author Report Posted January 23, 2013 Buy both, try them both, and let us know.... that would be great if I had unlimited funds... the point of asking was kinda due to that I'm poor and was wanting to know if there was any added benefit by buying more subs or if I could get the same effect by just having 1 sub with a little more input capacity and spend a little less money probably and have a smaller box needed and still be able to put out the same kinda outputs Thanks I was pretty excited about the alt myself. kind of like a school girl, in a dress, on a swing. lol It's warming up enough that the donut-punching cyclist douchenozzles are getting their two wheeled fagmobiles out. purplesyrup Posted January 23, 2013 Report Posted January 23, 2013 4 15"s will be loud no matter what, 2 with twice as much power could be as loud or louder with a skilled box builder, 1 15" with quadruple the power can be as loud as all of them if your a Chuck Norris level box builder, know the resonant hz of the car, huge electrical upgrades, and don't mind lots of wasted dollars and hours and hours beyond hours and hours and hours of labor through trial and error testing to finally get it maxed out to its full potential.

Hellbilly429 Posted January 23, 2013 Report Posted January 23, 2013 If you use subs of around the same quality for all these setups cone area wins, but if you cheap out on the multiple sub setup a lot of the times you can buy 1 good quality one that will blow the others away in sound quality and probably be close or better in numbers due to better efficiencies, excursion, motor force, etc...
