Rf T3k Blown? (so What, Still Under Warrenty)

A repair like that is gonna run you $375-$500 + shipping cost to RF. I recommend talking to your local authorized RF dealer and see if they'll work with you (maybe for a small fee) and send it in as a warranty job.

the repair price just keeps going up and up. http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/public/style_emoticons/default/mad.gif

uh that sucks man...hope you get it fixed. How the hell did it break so quick lol

the only rattle i had in my car was my amp lid. i took it off, still rattled. rattled so much that it vibrated parts off the board which cause the grounding fire to the mosfets. i learned all this today on this badass site.

LOL your funny if u think RF is going to fix a refurb just cause a dealer got involved, NOT!

The amp's have a serial number on them, don't pull no crap like that, you will get clowned.

454 is their repair price. Maybee another company can fix it? I have seen the cases on the t4001 rattle.

If u can fix it with a new board for 400 go for it.

so im guessing this thing wasnt bought authorized and has no warranty? damn.....i mean hell bro, if it was the only problem you would have is waiting on the UPS guy because it would be NO problem at all. Now you got a problem.

i wouldnt attempt to replace the 'fets, the board, or anything else on your own. Your just going to make it worse and you have about a 99 percent chance your repairs arent gonna work. Fets go out for a reason, so its probably a little deeper then you think.

hey man if it gets you thru autorama, ill break out my spare T4k for you but you gotta give it back before you leave the gate :) Any one else that runs T4k's, if your using them at autorama, you have a spare if im there......but take my advice, that amp you got for a smokin deal might bite you in the ass later so i would get an amp with a warranty for sure. Were not talking about a 300 watt amp were talking 3500-4000 (t3k) and when you play with big power sometimes you have big problems.

anyway call up RF and see what they can do for you. Mention your from my site and maybe they will add 50 to the price, just for you :D

i have no clue going about repairing the board by myself. not my cup of tea. yeah, i did buy it used and it was a slammin deal too. i guess you get what you pay for. i really wanted to make autorama with my new build. life sucks :(

i ran through my set-up and double checked everything........the amp was a lemon. im thinking too much vibration cause the camp fire. your a real stand up dude to offer me a loner for AR. if i was to cruise down there in my ride along with christian, ill be willing to give you collateral for the T4K. IF IT DOESNT RAIN CATS AND DOGS. i guess being your generator security at WF helped out alot. is this your was of paying me back?
