get more power for amp on a budget

I'm looking to get more power to my amplifier. i have a hifonics brutus brz1700.1d driving cerwin vega stroker 122 subwoofer. it is a discontinued model and it is rated 2000 watts rms and 4000 watts peak. i have the sub wired down to 1 ohm so the sub should be getting 1700 watts on that amp. but i dont have much money to work with. is the anyway to get more power closer to the rms of that sub. with out getting a bigger amp.

What voltage are you running? Generally if youve maxed an amp out you cant really squeeze water out of a rock.

i don't have an extra battery or high output alternator and no big 3 upgrade.

at idle the at the amp it reads 12.8 volts with a 50hz test tone playing

1. do the big 3 in 0/1 gauge.

2. is you can sell your amp and get the bigger BRZ 2100

3. a H/O alt would be better first than a second batt, if you havent the money for a H/O alt here a link to a nice batt offer

No you probably can't. Only thing I can think of is maintain voltage at 14 or whatever your alt charges at. And to minimize imp rise although that's tough on music.

Save your money and buy a good amp that does rated rms and more efficent than the one you have, there won't be an aidible difference with a few increase in watts with what you currently have. Another thing to look at also, is your enclosure, meaning is it built to give optimum output for your desired goal.

ok how would i minimize imp rise?

Build and test many enclosures. See which one rises less lol

This is for daily use right? Play around with boxes and try to shoot for efficiency instead of more power from the amp
