Rmichael91 Posted January 31, 2013 Report Posted January 31, 2013 Big three - YES. Always a no brainer. What are your plans for the future build wise? I'd bass the alternator off on that. As for wiring - 1/0awg for big 3, and a run to the back to a distro block for 4ga unless the amp calls for 1/0awg. What type of battery do you currently have under the hood and in your battery bank, if you've got one at this point in time. Audio technix and knukoncept are good for the wiring.
C-Fizzy Posted January 31, 2013 Report Posted January 31, 2013 Always do the big 3. Always helps. Look it up on YouTube for info how to. If you plan on upgrading later, run 1/0 wire. No need for a high output alternator for 1200 watts under construction I hate People with crappy primered cars rolling on hubcaps that are louder then me. u hate c-fizzy?
SupremeSipes Posted January 31, 2013 Author Report Posted January 31, 2013 So right now I have an optima yellow top in my truck that powers everything and my compressors for my air ride,.it currently.sits at 14 volts & 12 when the compressors are running, So I will do the big 3 upgrade I guess.. And plans for future 2006 Chrysler 300 touring. 3 arc audio, arc series d4 12s hifonics brz 1200.1 for subs hifonics brz 600.4 for 6x9s ALL WAITTING FOR INSTALLION ! looking into coilovers or universal air ride 20 inch wheels, 5% tint on all windows 50% tint on windshield debaged rear trunk lid, wings and 300 logo demolded side stripping, black mesh grill, no ubl, not enough cool shit ! once the car is paid off and its mine... gen 2 viper swap, manual trans, going to get viper logos for the rear trunk and mold a viper diamond logo into the wings logo ! only 4 more years of payments and saving.....
Rmichael91 Posted January 31, 2013 Report Posted January 31, 2013 So now your trying to run your compressors and system off the yellowtop? What size is your oem alternator?
will77530 Posted January 31, 2013 Report Posted January 31, 2013 do the big three its super easy on that truck you should have room for 2 batteries under the hood sense you have air ride and are adding a system that will be your best bet to start shouldnt need a high output alt though
SupremeSipes Posted January 31, 2013 Author Report Posted January 31, 2013 Yeah . I run my compressors off the yellow top and want to add a system. And I will be getting another battery..just not soon.. And I dont know the size of my amp. I have a 350 if that helps ? Rmichael91 Posted January 31, 2013 Report Posted January 31, 2013 A quick search shows your running a 105amp alt. Do you notice any dimming when your compressor's running? Signs you need an additional battery, big 3, and a new alternator. Mechman, singer, tenney, all the company's carry one. Starting at I think $340 at the lowest.
